Beginners are new to cosplay. You must have made or modifies 50% of your cosplay. Beginners would have won no more than 1 award in the beginner category at another convention. Craftsmanship judging optional based on availability.
Intermediate cosplayers have a little experience and are expected to have made and/or modified at least 75% of their cosplay. You would have won a couple of awards at another convention or have some experience in various crafting skills that would make you no longer a beginner. The judges can tell and will make sure you're in the correct category if you're unsure. Craftsmanship judging optional.
Master cosplayers are either professionals in crafting trades or have won an award at the master level at another convention. Masters should have made at least 90% of their cosplay themselves. In this category you will be expected to do craftsmanship judging. You will be expected to have craftsmanship documentation for the judges.
There will be category awards like you are used to. There will be awards for most creative creation based on winter or mythology, original concepts/ideas. We would LOVE to see your original designs! You can still win awards for existing characters but we want to let everyone know there will be other types of awards as well.
Craftsmanship questionnaires will be emailed to those who signed up for craftsmanship judging.
